Games Day 2010 Project (Part 6)

Heavy Weapons make the world go round and round, and it's no less in this 40K Guard army.The first group of what will be several heavy weapons choices for the Valhallan force, these are the Rocket Teams and Mortar Teams for the army. Both teams serve as a squad of heavy weapons each, so the fire is concentrated at the right time. Enjoy the pics! More to come soon.....

Games Day 2010 Project (Part 5)

We need MORE TROOPS!! Muster more Valhallans for the regiment!

My luck tonight as I made my way to the bunker on an off day for me, just as I was putting the final basing touches to my recently finished heavy weapons for the army, MORE troops arrive to be processed for the regiment. My friend Alex who is helping with the base-coating and base-washing brought the next batch of recruits just in time! So this weekend we begin the process once more and add more troops to this project. As you can also see on this site, I have added a nice little model counter to your right showing the progress of completed Valhallans, which I hope to add more to that count soon! I will feature the heavy weapons in my next update.....


Troops! Troops! And More Troops! Oh....More heavy weapons crews too! Hmmmmm....


NCOs! Sweet now this rabble is about to start looking like a real army.....The Stormtroopers are coming along too....

Games Day 2010 Project (Part 4)

Well here is the next update in my ongoing Valhallan Project. Now that the painting has begun I have been able to finish a good chunk of the force over the last week. Included in this bunch are almost 30 infantry and a grenadier. Right now I got a few more stormtrooper sergeants, stormtrooper special weapons, and a few heavy weapons for the valhallans to finish.

Games Day 2010 Project (Part 3)

Well it's back to the ole grind! Raising a new regiment can be so much work sometimes. After my adventure in the Iron Painter, I am back to working on the Valhallans and plan on staying on this project for most of my hobby time now. Thanks to the help of several people I have been able to get a lot of these guys base coated and prepared for all the detail work to begin.  I have also compiled a To Do List of the entire force....Check it out!
